Espy Award Winner 2006

The Espy Foundation is pleased to announce Michael H. Benton as the winner of the $1,000 Espy Award for 2007 for light verse.  Click here to read his winning entry, "Life's About the Adjectives."

Michael H. Benton has just started writing as a career. After time in the US Navy navigating submarines and then as an electrical engineer, he has returned to his love for writing. His short stories and poetry have appeared in local newspapers and he is actively seeking that elusive publisher for his first novel, In the Wake of Enchantress. Michael currently lives on Coosaw Island near Beaufort, South Carolina.

The Espy Foundation would like to thank all writers who participated in the 2007 Award contest.
